The objective of this course is to explore design solutions that increase usable space through enhanced protection. Topics will include enclosed patios for restaurants and bars, cabanas, and retractable roof systems featuring waterproof membranes for situations requiring complete protection. The course will also cover value-added options for extruded aluminum hanger-rod canopy systems and walkway covers, along with a discussion of available fabric options.
